Question? Book Discussion Club on Blog?

In today's High School world, students don't have much time to meet
after school or at lunchtime for a book discussion club. If we asked
students who are interested to read a new book they could get
easily at the public library, bookstores or the high school library,
would an online blog comments discussion be a good idea?
(the comments would be monitored by me before posting)
